Risks of Asbestos Exposure:

Asbestos can be found in any buildings constructed prior to the year 2000 so it’s vital that anyone involved in alterations to the fabric of a building receives the appropriate awareness training, enabling them to take the correct precautions and reduce the risk of exposure. Even the smallest tasks such as drilling and sanding can result in the release of asbestos, so ensure you meet the legal obligations involved and protect yourself and your employees at work.

While many sectors of industry have cause to disturb a building’s structure, the most common groups are:

·  General Maintenance Staff.
·  Electricians, Plumbers & Gas Fitters.
·  Painters & Decorators.
·  Construction & Demolition Workers.
·  Joiners, carpenters and Plasterers.
·  Computing & Telecommunications Engineers.
·  Heating & Ventilation Engineers.
·  Roofers and Small Builders.

·  Scaffolders, Data Engineers, Alarm Installers
